Call for papers

Academic publishing and the scholarly communication environment is in a period of considerable change. New models and systems are emerging as a result of technological opportunities and the open access agenda.

Proposals for papers are called for the international symposium Reinventing university publishing  to be held on 17-19 March 2015 at Australian National University, Canberra, Australia

Suggested topics for papers include:

  • Scholarly communication
  • Authors – what is needed?
  • Peer review and editorial boards – new models, current challenges
  • Copyright
  • Text mining
  • Data and publications
  • Impact measurement
  • Innovative technological developments

Proposals: Interested in presenting a paper or poster? You are invited to submit a 200-word abstract describing the presentation. Please include your affiliation and email contact information. Submit proposals via email to Roxanne Missingham (Roxanne.Missingham@anu.edu.au).

Presenters will have conference fees waived.

Review: The Program Committee will review and accept proposals based on their relevance, clarity and innovation.

Submission deadline: 30 July 2014

Acceptance notification: 30 September 2014
